Pret A Marketing 1 – “From the Brutal to the Rural”

Where have all the homeless gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the homeless gone?
Long time ago

Where have all the homeless gone?
Young Firms picked them every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the young man gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young man gone?
Long time ago

Where have all the young man gone?
Gone to Pret A Manger, every one
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the workers gone?
They are all in uniform
When will they ever smile?
When will they ever cry?

Where have all the smilers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the smilers gone?
Long time ago

Where have all the smilers gone?
Gone to graveyards every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the graveyards gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the Team Members gone?
Long time ago

Where have all the Mystery Shoppers gone?
Cowered with flowers every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the mourners gone?
Ooh ooh, ooh ooh, ooh
Where have all the mourners gone?
Long time ago

Where have all the mourners gone?
Young GMs picked them every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Adapted/Changed text from Pete Seeger “Where have all the flowers gone”

What’s happening in the homeless house, Mr. Schlee?

One guy advertised for it with Nicki Fisher.

Where are they, Mr. Schlee? What’s with THE house of the Rising Stars?!

Or was it one of your quick fixes and cover-ups again?

You read my blog.

Remember this blog entry, Mr. Schlee?

And now Nicki Fisher goes to rural places in the hopes to help some burnt out people? Really?

No, I think she’s burnt out! In hopes to help some burnt soul…

But you know that!

Where are you Mr. Schlee? And who, if anyone, is tweeting for you?

There she was, is and went…to the rural places!

The Pret homeless house in London just doesn’t cut it. Because people need rural and quiet places to recover. Pret’s homeless house of the “rising stars” is just another smile on Pret’s face.

Who cares to investigate staff deaths in particular suicides?

I worked at Pret A Manger for almost 10 years and survived systemic workplace bullying during bereavement that involved HR, the top leadership, HQ and even the CEO Clive Schlee. I declined 4 settlement offers if I am silent about my ordeal. But I rather starve and speak out to help others. For an overview of important blog entries of my experience with Pret, please visit “My Ordeal with Pret A Manger”. The little arrow to the right next to each heading will lead directly to the post.
I also tell my story for the first time verbally in this >>>
podcast interview based in California, and wrote an article in the Scottish Left Review.
Thank you for reading/listening.
