I am making free advertising for not only Pret, but a former OPs Manager I had back in 2010-ish.

This guy, Lawrence Heyes was so arrogant, apathetic and quickly disappeared, to now re-appear in Pret like Pano Christou did. None of us including our GM liked him.

Pano Christou applied for a job in Pret as a teen after he came from McDonald’s and then kissed his way up to the top.

Pano Christou was the right-hand man of Clive Schlee when 2 customers died and several got injured. Pret, of course got away with it (like large companies do), but customers are not having it.

Pret, Pano Christou etc. and now Lawrence Heyes are at the TOP of their game, meaning, let them get richer and rich, but don’t tell them than their legacy is dead.

In 2010 Lawrence Heyes went from zero to OPs manager. Then after 2 years he “left”.

13 years later he went from zero-ish to OP Director. This is Pret “doing the right ting naturally” again.

My memory of Lawerence Heyes was of him being arrogant, ignorant and apathetic. Welcome back, pal!

This is the photo on his Linkedin, even today. He is so proud to be back in Pret. Keep your head up. And keep smiling.

To Pano Christou, your days are numbered in Pret, that’s why you get shallow people like Lawrence Heyes back in. Good luck on your podcast spree that no-one cares about.

I worked at Pret A Manger and survived systemic workplace bullying during bereavement that involved HR, the top leadership, HQ and even the now “retired” former CEO Clive Schlee. Schlee has been appointed CEO of itsu in 2024 by Julian Metcalfe who gave him the CEO spot at Pret many years ago.
